  • Diane was inducted into the National Fitness Hall of Fame (NFHOF) on April 30, 2017, in Addison, Illinois. The Class of 2017 inductees was honored by past inductees and other members of the NFHOF during an induction ceremony and tour of the NFHOF Museum.

  • Albany, New York, Mayor Kathy M. Sheehan proclaimed June 12, 2016 "Diane H. Hart Day" in the City of Albany to recognize Diane's efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and fitness.

  • Diane was interviewed by WNYT's (Albany, NY) Elaine Houston for the Today's Women Segment:

  • Diane was selected to be a Board Member of the MedFit Network, a professional membership organization and a free online resource directory for consumers to locate fitness and allied healthcare professionals with a background in prevent, treatment, and rehabilitation in working with those with chronic disease/medical conditions.

  • As part of a United Nations high-level meeting on non-communicable diseases, Diane, in her role as President of the National Association for Health and Fitness, joined representatives from American College of Sports Medicine, Pan American Health Organization, CDC/World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Physical Activity and Health, and the President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition, as well as the U.S. Surgeon General, Olympic athletes and UN delegates, to discuss the health benefits of physical activity.

  • Diane was the 2014 Gold Star Award recipient as a Champion of Service from the National Association for Health and Fitness.

  • Diane was the 2010 recipient of the Silver Eagle National Leadership Award created in memory of C. Carson Conrad who served five United States Presidents on the President's Council for Fitness, Sports and Nutrition.

  • After participating in the first National Physical Activity Plan for America in 2009, Diane became one of the Voices of the Plan. She was also invited to the 2015 Congress on the National Activity Plan, and continues to assist with the development and success of the plan.
